Frances Agosta

Mrs. Frances A. Agosta, 96 of Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility, passed away Tuesday evening February 1, 2011 at WRHCF.

Born in Yonkers, NY; on December 20, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lottie Kopacki.

Mrs.Agosta received her education in the Amsterdam school system and was a 1933 graduate of Amsterdam High School.

She was employed as an inspector at Mohawk Sportswear and was also a secretary for Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School, both in Amsterdam, NY. She was also known to be an excellent seamstress. She was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam and spent many winters in Florida

Mrs. Agosta was a parishioner and communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Amsterdam. She was also a former member of Club 60 of St. Mary's Hospital.

Mrs. Agosta is survived by two daughters, Ann A. Fabozzi (Jack) of Amsterdam, NY; and Marilyn Di Blasi (Joseph) of Boynton Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Todd Fabozzi of Amsterdam, NY; Dr. Scott Fabozzi (Autum) of Concord, NH; Paul Fabozzi (Alison) of Kew Gardens, NY; Kevin Fabozzi (Kerri) of Big Sky, MT; Michele Fabozzi Sadik (Jonathan) of Rochester, NY; Michael DiBlasi (Christian) of of Marrieta, GA; and Joelle DiBlasi of Boca Raton, FL Fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Agosta was also predeceased by her brother and his wife Leo John and Olive Kopacki and her sister, Connie Petrillo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Saturday morning February 5, 2011 at 11:00 Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 39 Saint John Street, Amsterdam, NY.

Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery at a later date.

There are no calling hours.
